How did Hughes all of a sudden suffer a broken rib? when did this injury occur and how did it happen?

Last night I thought he was going to be sent down to Scraton (AAA) and make a few starts to work things out, but all of a sudden news comes out that hes got a broken rib and out till july??? wtf????
