My father cheated on my mother - is cheating hereditary?

Heck no. My mom cheated on my dad for years and they finally divorced. That little situation right there made me vehemently against cheating on my spouse or significant other. I have never and will never do it because I've lived through the hurt it can cause and the families it can destroy.
