What's wrong with my Yahoo!Messenger?

Recently, when I long on to Yahoo!Messenger, if I want to IM someone, when I click on their name and the type box comes on, when I type something and send it, it doesn't show. Also when I receive IMs or offline messages all I see is a white blank page. What's wrong with my messenger and how can I fix this?
