I want to start off high school on the right foot?

hey. so i just started high school the other day and i really wanted to go in and start making tons of friends ( i was extremely shy in middle school and wanted to explode out of my shell this year). i get really nervous to talk to people in my cles because it seems like EVERYBODY already knows each other and talks with other people in cl. I really want to be friends with these people but think that theyll think i'm weird if i try to just randomly talk to them in cl or sit with them at lunch. How can i become more outgoing and crazy, the kind of kid people want to be friends with? thanks for all your help!
